Greetings from our Church Session.
In these difficult times we are obliged to follow government guidelines on preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus. This means that church meetings cannot continue for the next few months until we get the all clear. This is a challenging time for all of us, but we want to assure you that we will make every effort, through whatever means become available to us, to continue church life and fellowship in some form. Our minister, Rev Hugh Cubitt BA BD, is more than happy to speak to anyone by telephone.
ServiceDetails
To date we are broadcasting a service each Sunday morning at 11.30 am from the manse led by our minister, Rev Hugh Cubitt BA BD. You can watch this service on our Facebook page, St. James’s Webcast Channel on Youtube or from the link on our “listen” page.
There will also be a live Facebook prayer broadcast by our minister each Tuesday night at 8.00pm followed by a time of prayer online using the “Zoom” app or software at 8.45pm.
If you require any further details or help with these broadcasts then please contact Rev Hugh Cubitt ( 028 2766 3217) or Ivan McKane (028 2766 2465) and they will make every effort to get you up and running.
Offerings to the Church
As a church we have always been thankful for the offerings that you donate weekly. Many have inquired how they might continue to do this during this time of quarantine so we have set out some guidance below which we hope will help: Either ……..
- Continue to place your offerings into the small envelopes each week, keep them safe and bring them to church when we start up again. Please note: For your safety and protection no-one will be calling to collect your envelopes. Please keep them safe.
- Or …..Contact our treasurer, Mr Brian Hueston who will be happy to discuss setting up a direct debit through the bank. This is a painless exercise and can be cancelled at any time. As you can imagine it is the most favourable option as it puts the money safely into our church bank account relieving the worry of having to store all your envelopes
- We have provided a Direct Debit form to the right and instructions.
