Girls’ Brigade
Enrolment Night

The Girls’ Brigade is an organisation for girls from the age of 3 and over. We meet each Thursday evening from September to April. The Explorer Section [ages 3 to 7] meet from 6.30 – 7.30pm. The Company Section [age 8 and over] meet from 7.30 – 8.30/9pm.

In St James’s we have a great Company of over 85 girls.

The Captain and Officers have all come up through the Company and have a total of 204 years service between them.

A wide variety of subjects is covered in the Company and the badge work is split into 4 sections:-

All ages enjoy craft, baking, games, drama and lots more.

We have outings, visits to places of interest, pantomimes and many other places.

Some of the places we have visited recently include:-

So as you can see there is something to suit everyone.

Well done to all the girls who represented St James' s at the northern Ireland finals. They were 4th out of 18 teams, the officers are proud to still be in the top 5 in the province!
